This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the NoYoYoDiet mobile application, the NoYoYoDiet web application, and the NoYoYoDiet website (together, the "Service").

2. A Note on What NoYoYoDiet Is

NoYoYoDiet is a consumer nutrition and wellness tool. It helps you record what you eat and track information you choose to log about yourself over time.

NoYoYoDiet is not a healthcare provider. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. Always consult your physician or another qualified provider about your health, your diet, or any medication you take.

3. Availability and Access

NoYoYoDiet is currently an invite-only beta, available in the United States. Accounts are created through an invitation; there is no open public sign-up at this time.

4. Age Requirement

The Service is intended for people 17 years of age or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17.

If you believe a person under 17 has provided us information, write to Hello@NoYoYoDiet.com and we will delete the account and its data.

Any health conditions you choose to tell us about, from a list that includes acid reflux, anemia, celiac disease or gluten intolerance, diabetes, fatty liver, gout, heart disease, high cholesterol, hypertension, irritable bowel syndrome, kidney disease, osteoporosis, and thyroid disorder. You can also enter a condition in your own words.

This is optional. It is used so the Service can suggest a dashboard suited to you.

5.7 Dietary Preferences

How you prefer to eat — for example dairy-free, gluten-free, halal, keto, kosher, low-carb, low-sodium, Mediterranean, paleo, pescatarian, vegan, or vegetarian. You can also enter a preference in your own words.

5.8 Your Nutrient Panel

Which nutrients you want to follow. We set a starting panel for you, and you can change it at any time in the app.

5.9 What You Log Day to Day

You are not required to record symptoms. If you do not, we do not collect that information.

5.10 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Service we automatically receive certain technical information, including your IP address, device type, operating system, browser or app version, time and date of access, screens or pages viewed, and diagnostic or crash data.

If you contact us, we keep your message and our reply so we can help you and keep a record of the exchange.

6. Sensitive Information

Some of what you give us — your weight, date of birth, health conditions, hormone therapy details, and anything you log about symptoms — is treated as sensitive personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act and comparable state laws.

We collect it only because you choose to enter it, and only to provide and personalize the Service you are using. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not disclose it for any purpose other than those described in this policy.

You can remove this information at any time by deleting the entries or your account.

We use a small number of established companies to run the Service. They may handle your information only to perform their function for us, and only under contract. We do not permit them to use your information for their own purposes.

9.2 Coaches and Health Professionals You Choose to Connect With

If you choose to link your account to a nutrition coach or a health professional using a code they give you, that person can see the information in your account so they can support you.

This only happens when you enter their code. You can ask us to unlink the connection at any time by writing to Hello@NoYoYoDiet.com.

9.3 Legal and Safety

We may disclose information if we are required to by law, court order, or a valid request from a public authority, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

9.4 Business Transfers

If NoYoYoDiet is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

10. Where We Operate

NoYoYoDiet is a United States company and the Service is offered to users in the United States. Your information is stored and processed in the United States, with the exception of our app-delivery provider, which operates in the European Union and handles only the technical data needed to deliver app updates to your device.

The Service is not directed to, or intended for, people outside the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with your own local law.

11. How Long We Keep Information

We keep your account information and your logged entries for as long as your account is open. The value of the Service comes from your history, so entries are retained rather than automatically deleted.

We retain personal information only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes described in this policy. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information and your logged entries from our live systems, and any copies held in our encrypted backups are overwritten in the ordinary course of our backup cycle.

We may keep a limited record where we are legally required to, or to resolve a dispute or enforce our agreements.

We protect your information using encryption in transit and at rest, access controls that restrict who and what can read your records, row-level database rules so that one user's data cannot be read by another, encrypted off-site backups, and regular internal security review.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand aggregate usage through a third-party website analytics provider.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. We also use a third-party web font provider to serve the typefaces used in the interface, which involves your browser making a request to that provider and sharing your IP address with it.

We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make a material change, we will update the Effective Date above and notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated policy.
